Montessori Playgroup, Nursery, LKG and UKG in B. Narayanapura & Malleshpalya
Butterflies Montessori runs four Montessori programmes for children aged 2 to 6 at our preschool branches in B. Narayanapura, close to Mahadevapura, and Malleshpalya, close to Kaggadasapura, in East Bengaluru.
Each stage builds on the one before it. Your child can start in Playgroup at 2 and move up through Nursery and LKG to UKG, building the independence, language, early maths and social skills they need for primary school.

Toddlers / Playgroup
Starting school is a big step for a two-year-old. Our Playgroup eases children into a group setting through play-based learning, simple practical life activities and lots of time to talk, listen and explore.
Children start to build language, share and take turns, and gain the confidence to do small things for themselves. It is a gentle first year for families in B. Narayanapura and Malleshpalya looking for a playschool close to home.
Age 3 – 4 years
Mont-1 / Nursery
In Nursery, children aged 3 to 4 work with hands-on sensorial and practical life materials. These activities refine motor skills, build concentration and give children the satisfaction of finishing a task on their own.
The classroom is set up so children can choose their work and return it to the shelf, which builds independence and a sense of order from the very beginning.
Age 4 – 5 years
Mont-2 / LKG
In LKG, children build on what they learned in Nursery. They work more deeply with language, sounds and letters, early maths concepts and simple problem-solving, all in a hands-on, self-directed Montessori environment.
Teachers continue to support each child’s growing independence and social skills, so children become comfortable working alone and alongside others.
Age 5 – 6 years
Mont-3 / UKG
UKG prepares children for the move to primary school. With a strong base in reading, writing, numbers and critical thinking, children use more advanced Montessori materials and take on more responsibility in the classroom.
The focus is on confidence, collaboration and good learning habits, so your child starts Class 1 ready for the next stage.
